3月26日のワークショップが楽しかったです。
初めて『生駒山リトリートセンター』で行えました。
雨にもかかわらず、皆さん楽しく墨を体験していました。
初心者にはすべてが新鮮で、大作を描いた参加者もいました。
また、皆さんが珍しいビーガンランチ,りんごパイとチャイが美味しかったです。
We all enjoyed the sumi workshop on March 26th.
It was the first time it was held at ‘Ikoma Mountain Retreat Centre.’
Everything was new for those coming for the first time, and those who wanted to had a go at painting a large work.
An added treat – the unusual vegan lunch with apple crumble and chai – it was all delicious.
先週末の自然の中の墨ワークショップは、とても楽しかったです。おまけに、天気予報では雨が降っていたのに、降らなかったんですよ！
みんな素敵な作品を作りました。今回は写真を撮らなかったのですが、ここでは、そのうちの大きな2つの作品の画像をご紹介します。
作品のひとつは、参加者2名による合作です。
We had a very happy Sumi workshop in Nature last weekend. An added bonus – it didn’t rain although it had been forecast!
Everyone produced lovely work. I didn’t take any photos this time, but here are one or two with pictures of the two large pieces.

The Sumi workshop in Nature went really well. The weather was good and luckily it didn’t rain. Everyone did lovely work and also made Uchiwa fans.

The second Sumi Workshop in Nature was held on December 5th.
It was a great day enjoying working with sumi and being in the natural world.
２回目の「自然の中の墨ワークショップ」が１２月５日に開かれました。
楽しい一日でした。墨で作品を描いたり、自然にインスパイヤされました。

During the coronavirus pandemic I have been holding sumi workshops with a group of Israeli calligraphers and artists on Zoom. In our latest workshop I introduced four Western artists who have been influenced by Asian art: Paul Klee, Henri Michaux, Julius Bissier and Pierre Alechinsky. How has their artwork inspired the Israeli group? Here are some of the results:

Sumi Workshop started again this month. It was lovely to see everyone again.
We practised with many different kinds of lines and ways of depicting fruit and vegetables as our subject.
